Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus is just another young teen to hit our screens! At only 16 yeas old she first appeared on Disneys Tv show ‘Hannah Montana’ and soon after the success of it she released her first album Breakout. The very talented Miley who is also a accress get managed by her father who is also a singer but a country singer Billy Ray Cyrus.

Mileys lastest single is called ‘The climb’ and is part of her soundtrack to her movie Hannah Montanna : The Movie. The single has been compared to Britney Spears ‘I’m Not a Girl Not Yet a Woman’ as it portrayes her standing barefoot on a cliff top, and the camera pans around her as she sings, similar to Britney Spears’ video.

You can check out her video here..

Her recent success has led to her getting into Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in The World. The magazine ranked her #35 on “The Celebrity 100″ list with earnings of over US$25 million in 2008!!

Coldplay take a break from the music scene

Posted in Uncategorized on March 30, 2009 by simone2890

The legendary group Coldplay have announced that they will be taking a break from making music, according to Kiss Fm. Coldplay have been making alternative rock music since they formed in 1998, and have recieved many awards such as NME’s album of the year for their 2002 album, A Rush Of Blood To The Head.

Coldplay have entertained Britain with many songs, receiving alot of support from the public. Their success is reflected in the fact that they have sold over 50 million albums..thats a hell of a lot of fans!!

Their songs include hits such as Fix You, The Scientist, and most recently.. Viva la Vida. In my opinion, their songs are meaningfull and powerfull. They contain alot of emotion, and reach a mass of audience. Coldplay is one of them bands that are legendary..and only come around once in a while.. They are the type of band that have made history.

Here is one of Coldplay’s most famous songs, Yellow.

The decision to take a break is down to the fact that Coldplay fear that people are starting to get bored of them. According to www.news24.com guitarist Johnny Buckland said “We’re taking a little break and let’s see where we get after that. We’ve got a lot of ideas but we want to find a new way to go and that may take some time.”He also stated “And anyway people may need a bit of a break from us,”

So it looks like the band will be making a come back onto the music scene, we just don’t know when. Let’s hope they wont be taking a break for too long!!

It Will Knock You Down!

Posted in Uncategorized on March 30, 2009 by xpoonamx

“Sometimes love comes around…and it knocks you down, just get back up when it knocks you down (knocks you down)”

 Keri Hilson

These are the lyrics to Keri Hilson’s brand new single from the album In A Perfect World. Although the first three songs from the her debut did not make it to the UK as video’s or in the chart’s, I’m hoping that this will, as this tune will make it big!

I heard the song before I saw the video and I haven’t been able to stop listening to it ever since. It’s always on repeat on my Media Player!

This song features the likes of Kanye West and Ne-Yo. These two artists are already doing very well in the music industry and I love the way they both, in particular, Ne-Yo enters into the song. It starts off well, but there was definitely a need for that little extra and Ne-Yo makes that happen, especially with those slick dance moves making the video look chic, rising in its elegance :) .

This is a must see and listen type of song. Check it out for yourself below.

Madonna adopting second child

Posted in All About Celebrities.. on March 30, 2009 by avni123

It appeared yesterday that Madonna was set to adopt another child and plans to do so by travelling to Malawi within the next month. Madonna has already adopted one child David Banda, who was the first child Madonna adopted from the African country.  Madonna is set to adopt a baby girl who goes by the name of Mercy James.

I personally believe that Madonna is at an age where she should be settled with the children she has already and not go adopting any more children! This is partly due to the fact of her age. Although she may be fit and well enough to look after these children Madonna is trying to set a role model and get other people to adopt children. I think that this is wrong, as she is just getting children, adopting them and making them wealthy! Not really thinking about the childs family.

Madonna arrived in Malawi today to begin the process of adopting Mercy James, with her daughter Lourdes.

Madonna has also established a charity, Raising Malawi, which aims to provide accommodation, food, education and other support to orphans in the country. I wish Madonna all the best in the process of adoping Mercy James!

Hot New Hip Hop

Posted in Uncategorized on March 27, 2009 by simone2890

This website is dedicated to new music and upcoming artists. It has daily updates of whats new in the music world, and even offers chances to listen to the music. However, the genre of music is very limited..hence the name ‘Hip Hop’. The genre’s they cover is Hip Hop (obviously), R&B, and Reggae, which is brilliant if your interested in that type of music..but what if your interested in Indie or Rock?

Hot New Hip Hop is linked to a site called LimeLinx, this site is a bit like YouTube..without the video’s!! When clicking on a link to a song on Hot New Hip Hop, it directs you straight to the LimeLinx site and direct to the song of your choice. The only problem is its a Beta site so it is often very slow, and the songs dont always play. Although, despite this..its completely free..So im not complaining!!

Another positive of the website is that the music featured on the website is brand new un-heard of music, all the American releases, so if your really interested in music you can get your hands on the newest music as soon as its released in America.

These two songs were posted on the site as top new releases, so I thought id give you a taster of what type of music the website offers.

Firstly, this song is called ‘About My B.I’ and is by Shawty Lo featuring Mya. In fact, it is actually quite a catchy song.. the contrast between Mya’s singing and Shawty Lo’s compliments the song..this could well be the start of Shawty Lo..as many people havent really heard of him yet.

The song below is titled ‘Available’ and is by the infamous Flo Rida with Akon featuring in it aswell. The song is upbeat and catchy..a perfect song to listen to whilst driving!

All songs on the website are available for download, all completley free!! Regular downloader Murray Crundwell loves the website and recomends it to all. And so do i!

Ok…so maybe you have been bombarded with the amount of emails coming through into your inbox about all the invitations you’ve received about a billion other quizzes – but you should really try this one out!

When I took this, the result came up with Natasha Bedingfield’s uplifting song Unwritten.

A fellow blogger also did this quiz and the result appeared with Friends theme tune I’ll Be There For You by The Rembrandts.

RKZ, V- Soul, BakerBoys…..Fresh To The Scene

Posted in New artists, New Music.. on March 27, 2009 by avni123

As written in the last few posts about new talent, I have managed to get an exclusive interview of RKZ in the studio, along with a few added extras :) . Along with that I have another interview with an artist called V-Soul.

V-soul singer songwriter and discovered his talent at the tender age of 15. His passion for music steamed from his father who is also a singer specializing in Indian vocals. From then on he began performing wherever he got the chance from school concerts to live events.

His writing style and in particular his vocal style and ability have been the result of his musical influences from late artists such as Nina simone, James Brown and Donnie Hathaway to more present day artists like John Legend, JIll Scott, and Anthony Hamilton but to name a few.

Now at the age of 21 his main aim is to establish a career in the music industry as a song writer and then at a later stage launch himself as a vocal artist. He is currently in the process of developing himself trying to move towards becoming more commercial.

His name is V-Soul so remember where you heard it first. His myspace is currently under construction but you can catch him on facebook and on his myspace www.myspace.com/jammersparadise

Along with RKZ and V- Soul come the Baker Boys, also known as Amish (ADP), Ife (Maestro), Lee and Nathan. All these guys met in uni and with their wide range of different talents each, they have come together as one. There talents range from singing, song writing and producing music.

The BakerBoys have all grown up in different areas around England and I think it is incredible that all these artists are coming together, and helping one another using each others talents.

Trust me this is just the beginning for these guys, so make sure you check them out, their gonna be big!

Set in the Isle of Wight, Bestival 2009 is set to be another huge success this year. An infamous festival that sets itself apart from the rest by having a fancy dress theme, this years line up includes DJ Anne Mac, Tinchy Stryder, Just Jac, and their biggest act announced so far, Lily Allen. This will be her second time performing at the festival,  making her debut back in 2006. The organiser of Bestival, known as Rob Da Bank, has said,

Lily Allen chipped up at Bestival 2006 just as she was becoming massive, donned a rabbit fancy dress outfit with massive pink ears, completely nailed the crowd and hung out all weekend having fun. So I’m delighted she’s coming back to do all it again with another brilliant number one album under her belt. Not only that but she’s also going to judge all your outfits before you even arrive in our new outer space fancy dress competition.”

Tickets are £140. This includes a full camping weekend ticket. Day tickets are unavailable to buy.

Britpop

Posted in Videos on March 27, 2009 by yajiao

Britopop is not a pop music, but a kind of rock. It emerged in the early 1990s in the Untied Kingdom and was influenced by british guitar music of the past. It was a reaction towards the Grunge phenomenon from the United States.  It developed as a musical movement and cultural trends, which has spread all over the world. Britpop is usually presented  by bands. The typical bands are Suede and Blur.

Here is a interview with my friends about their tastes of English Music.
